Ottawa Private AI

LOCAL AI INSTALLATION · OTTAWA

Private AI for law offices in Ottawa.

Use AI to help review agreements, organize information and prepare drafts, with prompts and documents processed on hardware your office controls. We assess your equipment, configure the agreed workflow and train you to check its results.

Discuss your workflow

Start with a task your office repeats.

A useful first project has a clear input and an output someone can check. For a law office, that might mean finding a defined clause across a set of agreements, preparing a chronology from supplied records, or turning approved notes into a first draft of a briefing.

We agree on the documents, review criteria and expected result before choosing the setup. The installation is tested against that task, including whether the output points you back to the relevant source passages.

Example: reviewing a set of agreements.

This is an illustrative workflow, using fictional documents rather than client material:

  1. Define the review. Choose the clauses or topics to find, the documents to include and the table you want back.
  2. Locate the passages. Collect candidate matches with the document name and a page or section reference where available.
  3. Compare the wording. Produce a draft comparison that keeps quoted wording separate from an AI summary.
  4. Check the originals. A person verifies each finding, investigates missing results and decides what belongs in the final work.

The goal is a useful starting point for review. We do not promise an exhaustive legal review or a correct answer to every question.

Exact words and legal topics need different checks.

Finding the exact phrase “termination for convenience” is different from finding every provision that could relate to ending an agreement. A topic review can help surface relevant passages, but a missing match does not prove that a document contains nothing relevant.

Scans, handwritten notes, tables and inconsistent document formatting can affect what the system reads. During assessment, we establish the file types it must handle and use examples with known answers to test the result. Where local text recognition is needed, that work is scoped separately.

Local processing is one part of privacy.

We configure the agreed AI workflow to process prompts and documents locally, disable cloud AI features and test offline operation. Initial installation and later updates need a planned process; fully isolated systems require additional assessment.

Your office still controls who may access the computer and its files, which records may be used, and how outputs, logs and backups are handled. Local installation does not itself certify compliance or guarantee legal privilege. The office’s responsible people approve the workflow and review the work it produces.

What installation includes.

We assess existing equipment first, propose a scope, configure the AI workspace, test the agreed tasks, and provide practical training and handover notes. The written quote identifies any hardware or paid software separately. Optional AI care has its own scope; general computer, network and security support remains with your IT provider.

For an initial inquiry, tell us the task, approximate document lengths and file formats, how many people need access, and whether you want to use existing equipment. Please leave out client names, confidential facts and actual matter documents. The website form is an online contact service, separate from the local system we install.
